Squeak's Dreams is sitting pretty on the Apple App Store, complete with a 5-star rating! But the time has come for a new challenge. I'm toying with some ideas for follow-up games. A sequel is very tempting. But then there's the fact that www.bulletrisk.com points to this very website. That's right - Bulletrisk is in development. What is Bulletrisk? Wouldn't you like to know?! My iPhone game is progressing nicely. But you don't need to believe mere words: See for yourself!

I'm aiming to get the game out this winter on the iPhone App Store.

Exciting things are happening at www.catgonecrazy.com! Firstly, there's a new video up on the Videos page, which you'll know if you're following me on Twitter or are subscribed to my YouTube channel. It was a bit of a risk, as I announced on Twitter that I'd be recording a piece of music in one day without any retakes. Getting the whole thing recorded, mixed (very simply) and edited in one day was a big challenge, but I'm very proud of the result. 

Then there's the new cover, of U2's Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses, which can be found on the MP3s tab. This was recorded late at night, just by setting an iPhone recording on the table and strumming my (unplugged) electric guitar. No editing, just some reverb added in GarageBand on iMac and uploaded to the site. I like it - it's nothing fancy, but it's got a good atmosphere.

But thirdly, as mentioned on TalkRadar UK, I can confirm that I am making an iPhone game. I don't know whether I'm going to publish screens here or make a new site for the game as it develops, but I kinda want to keep it a seceret for a little while as I'm quite pleased with the angle. But stay tuned! I aim to have it finished before the autumn, but the idea is to have it on the App Store before the end of the year. I've never made a game before, but it's coming on nicely. It's a platform game with a neat little mechanic (not as the character, it's actually a mouse)... I want to tell you more, but the walls have ears. Not that anyone believed that forum guy who said Sonic would turn into a Werehog...

Also, expect to see another guitar performance on TalkRadar UK. A nother couple of months and it'll be Episode 100. Sounds like a nice round number for some more fun, no?

It's been a little quiet on the music front, mostly because I've been doing lots of work, getting funds together for a new project. It won't be a musical one, at least not directly. It will almost certainly feature original compositions, though. More on this soon... watch this space...

With the holidays approaching, it's time for a little rest. But not for me! I've been working on two musical projects. One is too early to show, but the other was started and finished this afternoon. It's a cover of Green Day's awesome St Jimmy. I recorded it using basic multitracking and no cut/paste editing. So there's drums, bass, rhythm, lead and then a few vocal tracks. I'm most pleased with the drumming. It's definitely best heard LOUD or in headphones. Preferably both :) Hear it on the jukebox on the MP3s tab. It's track 9.

Ever wondered what the results of the poll were? Yeah, sorry it doesn't show the current results when you vote, but I can fix that by showing you now! Turns out more people like Two Seconds than Have You Had This Feeling Before? which surprised me to be honest. I like the energy of Feeling... but there you go. Maybe the rhyme of 'theory-ah' with 'encyclopedia' was a bit too much of a stretch? Hopefully the more carefully-produced The Painted Room is more like Two Seconds. Hit the MP3s tab (or go to the bottom of the home page) to hear it.

The second part of You're My Angel is here... a multitrack video. Explanation for the slightly dodgy vocal (ahem) - the reason was that this is a single-take, unedited recording, so everything you hear in the song is everything you see in the video. Check it out on the Videos tab above :)

The first half of a new project is complete - a new recording of 'You're My Angel', which I wrote when I was 17 years old. The vocal is a little weak on this recording, but there IS a very good reason for that. All will become clear when the second half of the project is unveiled. It's progressing nicely, but won't be ready for at least a few days. So keep checking back and of course follow @catgonecrazy on Twitter and you'll be the first to know when the... New stuff incoming! Not least of which is this news page. Keep watching this page for news of gigs, new tracks... pretty much new anything! There will be two new things on the site very soon, the first of which will be hitting later today in the shape of a new original song. It's actually one I wrote when I was 17, but it's a new recording. After that, in a few days' time, there'll be something UBER COOL related to it, that you simply have to see. Having teased you, I'll leave you to ponder what that might be...
